Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu goes back to the samurai Jizasa Choi-sa i Ienao and is one of the oldest Japanese martial arts. In this martial art, the sword is the central weapon in which the practice of the forms (kata) and defined sequences of martial arts techniques with a partner are of central importance. The Katori-Bokken is a bit shorter and thicker than the classic Bokken shape.
